Wine of notable structure obtained from Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc grapes. Matured in French oak barriques and in the bottle. Complex and long-aging wine. It shows an intense ruby red. On

the nose evident hints of berries, spices, vanilla, coffee and light vegetal notes. In the mouth it is persistent, soft and full-bodied. Matured in French

oak barriques and in the bottle.

Soil - Loamy loam texture, with medium to high limestone content

Exposure - South - south/east

Altimetry - Hill 150 m asl

Planting density - 6,000 vines/ ha

Rooting system - Low spurred cordon with north-south row orientation

Bud load - 8 per vine

Yield per hectare - 70 quintals

Cultivation - Scarce fertilization, topping of shoots and thinning of excess bunches

Approximately mid-October, by hand in caissons

Vinification

Brief Description - Destemming followed by 12 days on skins in open 50Hl. vats, with 6 daily punching down. 

Fermentation tanks - Steel

Fermentation temperature - 26° - 32° C

Length of maceration - 12 days

Length of fermentation - 15g

Maturation Period - 16 months in Never, Limousin and Tronçais oak barrels. Maturation in bottle of about 5 months

Time of bottling - April-May of the second year following the harvest

Organoleptic characters

Intense ruby red color. Varietal bouquet, with hints of berries, spices and vanilla. 

Full, long and persistent flavor with just the right acidity to sign its balance.
